Pepe Joseph - Dijon

My husband and I ended up at this restaurant after reading the great reviews on this site. I can honestly say this was one on the best meals I've ever had. You can feel the love the chef has for cooking in every bite you take. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the staff is very friendly. The menu is made daily so you will not find it online. No need to worry about the price because it was very reasonable for the area. If you come to Dijon make sure you stop here!!!

We have spend an evening in this restaurant and I know one thing: whenever I am looking for a nice priced good restaurant in the Dijon area, I will stop here! My son asked me for something different than a pizza restaurant and we found this here on Tripadvisor. To go here was one of the best decisions of the holiday. We had 4 tarte flambée, in 3 different tastes. They were the best we ever had. Especially the mushroom and truffle was great, but the 'standard was not much less. They were cut in pieces, so we could share the tastes. Take a glass of Alsacian muscat to both, and you 'll have a great taste-experience. See my pictures for the nice interior. You won 't find it in the centre next to a lot of shops, but it 's definitely worth the visit! One remark: the combination of music and video 's showed in the restaurant is not a good combination for a super-romantic evening, but its amusing and adds atmosphere..

How hard do you think it is to walk into a restaurant in France or anywhere) on a Saturday night and get a table for 13 including a baby and a few vegetarians... Obviously I 'm not silly so when I took my family to France I planned our trip including researching good family restaurants in Dijon for an overnight stop. I booked our visit with Franck Schmitt of Pépé Joseph Restaurant on the 29th of June giving them 7 weeks notice. When we arrived at our accommodation in Dijon following a 6 hour drive everyone was looking forward to a good meal and then bed, we all got washed and dressed and arrived at the restaurant at 7:15pm for a 7:30 booking only to find the restaurant closed and a notice on the door saying closed for restorations . They had not tried to contact me to let me know and as a result we spent the next hour driving around Dijon and ended up in McDonalds, really not what I had planned..! :

Why seems complicated when you can make it simple. The boss understood it well. In the evening has the theme and varied music as the second home.

A small corner of paradise, the bar changes theme depending on the seasons a bistro as we love them.
