Little Italy - Dijon

There was no air conditioning, the vegetarian pizza was soggy, the spaghetti was very average and the salad straight from the supermarket. It was a very unpleasant experience and all we wanted to do is to leave the restaurant.

We have been travelling around france for 5 months and this is by far and away the best pizza we have had. Great service and a quirky setting. you must visit the toilet its so strange. really loved this place and would highly recommend it. Staff were very pleasant and attentive.

When we arrived on Thursday evening and asked for a table the waitress told us they were fully booked and we won’t be able to place us anywhere. I mentioned the 3 empty tables that we were standing by and she told me they were reserved. We were hungry and asked if it would be possible to sit outside under cover to which she finally agreed. She spoke weak English but we understood each other and I asked that if situation inside changed could we go inside as it was cold and rainy. We waited outside for our pizza and in the mean time I noticed people were coming inside and were given the tables without reservation. They were all French. To be 100% sure I went inside and asked if they reserved the tables and they confirmed not. I confronted the waitress about this matter and she blamed her colleague and suddenly could not speak a word of English. Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional behaviour! Avoid this place.

I heard about Little Italy long before I had lunch there. And what I’ve heard..... wasn’t about that new Osteria Italiana in town serving Premium pizza made in Wood oven, neither about the best charcuterie from Italy cut à la minute, nor the classic Pasta dishes made al dente.... But it was about their passion for Antiques and how they create a resto shop where everything that has a price tag on is for sale. The real taste of Italy within that French antique troc got me; you feel like you own the place. Genius Madame Ping !!!!!!

Well worth a visit in Dijon. It’s a small restaurant with excellent pizza and pasta dishes, made from quality ingredients. The staff are friendly and there was a lively atmosphere!
