Contribuiți la feedbackIt is not easy to find, but this auberge lies in the beautiful landscape of burgund and it was a real surprise. it is a family business: the man is the cook and the woman is the maitre. we took two menus plaisir and drank two. the courts were very well executed, woman nathalie was very gentle and in the position to serve on the table effective. the kitchen is absolutely commendable: not to miss!
Very friendly. simple selection, very traditional, with some delicious and well prepared dressed. the service of the woman while the man burns alone in the kitchen. the wine list is limited, but with some good choices. only one problem: in the middle of Charolais,...where they expect the best bark in Europe. the rumpsteak was far from tender.
We had recently visited our second visit in this restaurant after we had a very good experience last year. this time was even better as we were in the position to secure a table on the covered terrace with views of the beautiful backyard, kitchen garden,...and green hills in the far away. Although I usually don't order bark in French restaurants, I tried the steak and was amazed. it was by far the best steak that I had since moved to France a few years ago. carefully from fat, no gristle, perfectly cooked, it could not have been better. if you ever saw a photo of a perfect steak in a commercial, this steak looked like that. the service was attentive and prompt. the host nathalie lagarde, who led together with her man and cook christophe the restaurant, was friendly, friendly and made an excellent work to the place too modest. a few remarks: although the address is listed as digoin, the auberge (obvious) is located at the rande of vigny, a small community of digoin, which is actually closer to paray le monial than to digoin. l’auberge de vigny has its annual closure in oktober, so plan accordingly.
As an outsen Thursday, eating good eating seemed the only reasonable alternative to sightseeing and going. so we drove on recommendation of a friend the short way from charolles to l’auberge de vigny. we were greeted by the wife of the chef who has done everything to make us welcome in English. the following meal was a joy to experience as the wein. we would strongly recommend it.
A short drive into the countryside around Digoin, you'll discover this wonderful Michelin rated auberge. The husband and wife team offer a warm hospitable welcome and some of the best and tastiest food we've enjoyed in eons. The fixed price menus at lunchtime are a...steal and the suggested wines were a joy. Book ahead and enjoy a treat!
