Red Satay Dieppe

I am on a fixed income. I haven’t ordered out in over 3 months. I decided that I would treat myself for take out…to a stir fry at Red Satay Rouge in Dieppe. I ordered the Red Satay Stir Fry with extra veggies and vermicelli. When I got home there was so much sauce that my meal was swimming in it. The vermicelli was mush. So, I drove back to the restaurant to return my meal. When I got there, meal in tow, I spoke to the owner. He refused to replace my meal. He said I should have known that this was the meal I ordered. I said it was the first time I had ordered it and it was NOT satisfactory. He said “ I am the owner and I know the food is good; you should have ordered the noodles on their own. Well……we argued and he was insistent that he was right. Finally I had him replace my meal with noodles on the side….sadly the stirfry was still swimming in sauce. I am a very fair reviewer…(read my reviews)… I will never go back.

I recommend doing the escape room first and they capping off with some supper at red satay. always a treat. delicious food, great portion sizes and healthy too

We were here on a Wednesday night Yvonne was our server and really took the time to make explain the menu and make suggestions. Great fresh food! And the fried banana is worth saving room for!

We are in every week because of the food. Its so filling and fresh. They never fail! The service is just ok on the other hand. If you keep your expectations low on that part, you will be please wih your experience. The waiting time is sometimes super long. It really depends but in general its reasonnable. Recommend: Jenny special

Food is always good but getting more pricey. Service was only OK but there were a couple of large tables so they may have taken priority. Overall excellent dinning experience except VERY noisy!!
