We hadn’t intended eating here as we normally go into town to eat, but “Storm Gerrard” was in full swing with rain and hail so we decided to eat here and were very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is now independant of the hotel. They do a set menu with quite a choice but if you can, ignore the menu in English as a lot of it doesn’t make sense. For instance, some items are marked “only on the card” which is translated from “à la carte” ie: not available as part of the menu. Or “oeuf parfait” translated as “perfect egg”. Then you have items that are just partially translated or aren’t translated at all as in, “Nage de rouget” which in English becomes “nage de mullet” (it’s a filet by the way). We went for the menu, my wife with just 2 courses and I went the full 3 courses. We both had the “nage de rouget” as a starter then my wife took the “cuisse de canard confite” though sadly the “pommes dauphines” weren’t available so she opted for “frites”. I took the “ballotine” again with “frites” All the dishes were excellent. For dessert I went for the “sphère chocolat” and it was very good. Sadly my picture doesn’t do it justice as it’s a tempered chocolate sphere and the waitress then pours warm chocolate sauce over it which melts a hole in the sphere revealing a surprise inside. I won’t tell you what that is so you’ll just have to order it yourself and find out. The prices are reasonable. The highlight of the evening, no question was our waitress, Audrey. In local parlance, “très sympa” Always smiling and very attentive. The evening was made all the more pleasant thanks to her.

We wanted to congratulate the young woman who served us on Friday 04.02 at the evening service. Of great professionalism, perfect, as necessary, neither too much nor not enough. Listen, attentive and dedicated. Bravo! Moreover, if we understood it correctly, it was his first services. The kitchen is fine, the rest of the team too. We recommend.

Great restaurant! I've been celebrating since dessert came in, employees listen and smile. You can close your eyes.

We had lunch in this family restaurant at 3 years old with our 6-year-old daughter. The room staff was very attentive and excellent advice for all meals. The room was quiet despite a big tab. We recommend this establishment without hesitation.

Very nice restaurant, the dishes are refined and of good quality. Very friendly and professional staff.
