Urban Cellars - Detroit

The burger was excellent, especially with the bacon jam between the 4oz patties. However, there weren’t nearly enough staff, which resulted in poor service.

We had to manage on our own for a bit as a group of three after waiting around 20 minutes for one of the few available tables. We went to the bar to grab a menu (there was only one!) and some beers. Once we placed our order, the food arrived fairly quickly and was quite good—especially the hot fries!

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Everything was great from start to finish. I didn't have high expectations since it's located in a hotel, but wow, I can't wait to return!

Worst customer service ever! Would never come back. Would not recommend this place. It was obvious the bartender was intent on not serving our table. We sat at a table in the bar area and placed our drink orders and after 30 minutes of waiting and watching the bartender serve several other guests who arrived later drinks and food, we left. The wait staff was equally absent. I selected other for “what did you get”, because our table didn’t get any drinks, service, or food, or even acknowledgment that we were present.This is an update to this review. After speaking with the restaurant manager, Andrea, she quickly resolved the issue. We were seated in the restaurant and she retook our order and ensured that our drinks and food were delivered.

Everything was great. I must say there were very inpatient customers that pretty much pulled their own tables and then tried to walk up to the server's face to ask for help while he was helping others, no acceptable. The place was busy enough for them to approach this way. Either way, I'm mad I didn't get neither of their servers names but I love this hotel. I will keep staying here every time I'm in Detroit.
