Twist Pretzels - Detroit

Came here because of the hype on TikTok. To be honest I had walked past this place MANY times but they were always closed because they have *very* limited hours. When I finally visited during a weekend they were open and I was extremely excited, which was quickly diminished due to the attitude from the staff. I agree with the 1-star yelp reviews- the pretzels look beautiful but taste awful. Like soggy old bread. My friend got the cinnamon sugar which was way better than my salted one. The beer cheese was okay. Overall not worth the hype or the .

I loved coming to twist! the pretzels were awesome. i got the sesame and my sister got the cinnamon sugar, and they were both great! they also came with a sauce and i got the veggie cream cheese which went with the pretzel perfectly! the parmesan fries were the best i’ve ever had. a new favorite snack spot downtown! the pretzels are also huge for the price, AND they come with a sauce. (olin, their restaurant, is also amazing, 100% recommend)i’d recommend this place to everyone! super quick and easy and delicious!

Cool concept. In reality, these were the worst pretzels we've ever had. I was excited to try them. They looked beautiful. The second my partner and I each took a bite of our pretzel, we immediately decided to toss it. It tasted like barely reheated old bread. Given the proximity to Olin, the fact the bread is identical to bread served in Olin, and the fact that both Twist and Olin are owned/operated by the same person, I suspect that it might very well might be the case. Old and/or flavorless products sold at a significant markup driven by an effective social media strategy.

Phenomenal flavors to try out. First time coming here and let me tell ya it's worth checking out. The burger and fries was bussin and the pretzels is a must try.

Honestly shocked to see the lower star reviews! We love this place. For $6, the pretzels are giant. I always get cinnamon sugar and my husband gets regular. He loves it so much, we literally check the hours each time we're downtown. Customer service is great too; they're always so friendly!
