Poke Poke Sushi Unrolled - Detroit

I visited Poke last week on a hot day and immediately noticed a fishy smell. When I entered, the doors were wide open, but I didn’t think much of it at the time. I ordered a rice bowl and went home, only to find myself back at the restaurant less than 30 minutes later. Unfortunately, I ended up vomiting after eating the fish in my bowl. The fish tasted warm and different from what I expected, but I continued to eat it, assuming that a restaurant like Poke Poke wouldn’t serve bad fish, even with their air conditioning not working. Overall, this was a terrible experience, and I would not recommend dining at this restaurant.

This restaurant was quite disappointing. I ordered a large bowl for takeout, and there was hardly any meat in it! Given the prices and the add-ons, I expected at least a generous serving. The food didn't taste fresh; the fish was warm, and everything about the experience felt off. As others have mentioned, the air conditioning has been out for over a month, making the entire place hot and humid. It's definitely not the ideal environment for fresh seafood.

I think the bowl is quite decent, but some of the ingredients, particularly the mango and pineapple, could be riper and fresher. They consistently get my order right, but since I order online, my boba often arrives with melted ice, which makes it taste a bit watery. The prices are on the higher side, but I believe the fish is good. Delivery is very quick as well.

The food here is really tasty, BUT they barely put any protein in the bowls. Like...at all. If I were to rate this place on flavor it would be an easy 5 stars. But after finishing two bowls I feel like I could eat another two.
