I didn't see any food offerings, but there was a taco food truck in the parking lot, so bringing food and eating it on the patio with your wine seems possible. The wine is pricey, but luckily, I wasn't picking up the tab. I enjoyed and recommend the chilled dry wine for $14. It wasn't in a wine glass, though, more of a whiskey glass that was partially filled, so I didn't think the amount justified the price. I see on the website that there is live jazz on Friday and Saturday nights from 8 to 11 pm.
Excellent service, cool vibes, and delicious wines! What more can you ask for? Easy to find on Michigan Avenue in Corktown. There is a bar and another room for seating. Very clean and the layout is spacious. I'll be back.
Service was terrible. We were yelled at and berated after patronizing the wine bar for the evening for a simple misunderstanding. Human decency is all that's expected while communicating and that was not afforded to my friends and I this evening. I will never be returning back.
We love Motor City Wine! There is always some good live music playing. Whether it's a DJ on the turntables or a three piece band, you can always count on jamming out while enjoying your glass (or bottle of wine! The ambiance is cozy inviting. The patrons are friendly people sit in cafeteria style out on the patio. There is an inside area which I have never sat. : The patio is where it's at! Motor City Wine is located on Michigan Avenue in Corktown close to Rosa Parks. There is security in the parking lot.
I really love this old school Detroit venue, it makes me feel like I'm back in the 80s and 90s in Detroit. The pieces are reasonable too, with the rotating wine list making it easier to try different things. I loved how the bartenders were so patient and kind with my questions.
