Lafayette Coney Island - Detroit

This is a true detroit legend. old school and contemporary at the same time. come hungry, let them be happy.

During a visit here for work, this place came to go on my radar as a place for coney island hot dog (american special) and chili cheese fries. eating.

Note: until recently, this Yelp list and all its reviews and pictures, as they clearly see, called on the lafayette coney island at 118 west.

I was in Michigan last week and while there I had to try Coney Island. I ended up going to 3 different Coney Island 's and I must say Lafayette 's was the best!. I would also like to say 'Thank You ' to the workers there! Brown bag! and the nice gentlemen that I met there! Especially the one who purchased my meal! I learned the hard way that Lafayette 's is cash only!

I think their Coney dogs and chili fries with onion and cheese are the best in the world. Come here for the real experience. At lunch time you might sit next to a lawyer playing hookie from his diet or other Detroit archetypes.
