Italia - Detmold

Two salads, house pizza, spaghetti and a bottle of wine etc. The last time I had eaten here was 15 years ago. The resturant has not changed what the food was good at that time and is now just as good; the pizza was freshly prepared and baked with the pasta. Very recommended for the whole family or with friends. The accounts amounted to €58 for four people with drinks, which I believe were a good value for money.

The food here is not amazing, but it is not unbearable. A bit expensive for pizzas. My Hubby and I ordered two pizzas, and there were 17 € for our two vegetarian pizzas. You can get Petter Pizzas for about €13 in Frankfurt with the same stuff on them. But this place beats several other really terrible Italian restaurants in Detmold.

My husband and I visit Italia every time we are in Detmold (my former home town) and we are never disappointed. The food is very good, the service really friendly and personal, and apart from a good and reasonably priced wine list, the owner always has...a few extra bottles that are NOT on the list but that he can recommend very good indeed!

Best Italian in Detmold. Good food, good service, historical ambience.
