Won Ton Gourmet - Des Plaines

My family has been visiting Wonton Gourmet for over 10 years. The food has always been delicious—it's like comfort food to us. The service is consistently friendly and attentive, with the same staff we've known for years! Their shrimp wontons are a must-try!

I've been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years. Initially, it was located in a strip mall and was always bustling, with long waits for a table. Then they built a standalone restaurant. The wonton soups are exceptional, which is fitting given the restaurant's name, Wonton Gourmet. The homemade wontons have a delicately thin wrapper and a filling that has a subtle smoky flavor. I particularly enjoy the shrimp wonton soup. While the other dishes are also good, the soups truly stand out as the restaurant's signature offerings.

The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. The service was outstanding. I wish there was an extra star rating for the atmosphere!

Definitely not my first time here, but first review and well-deserved 5-stars! Customer service has gotten better throughout the years. Their Shrimp Wontons, Barbeque Pork Noodle Soup (pictures here), and Singapore Noodles are always a go-to. Not pictured here but another go-to are their HUGE Potstickers. So glad to see this establishment continuing to do well despite the pandemic.

Been here 4 times, and love it each time! This place reminds me so much of the Hawker stalls in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia. This place gives me the hometown vibe that I missed so much! The food here is good, service is okay rushing and quick! Wonton Gourmet is one of my weekly dining spots! Highly recommend it if you're looking for good Cantonese noodle soups, and have other menu offers as well.
