California Burrito - Des Moines

Overall really enjoy the food from this place, plus now that tacofest is back, might be my go to for a little bit. Burritos are always big and filling, drinks are also huge and satisfying.

Something is always missing or off.....where are the condiments...? Like, make it make sense? I get that its a 24-hour location, but there is like no consistency with what is done. The fries are soggy or overcooked, and the same goes for the meat (Carne Asada Fries). When its good, its good, but when its bad, its a scam.... The Churro was acceptable but left room for improvement.

Very disappointing! Chips Guacamole chips were so soggy. 18. Chiles Rellenos we apos;re so greasy and center was cold pepper was literally raw. To top it off they forgot my salsa. This whole order went in the trash. Unbelievable

The Shrimp Burrito was amazing, just as good as I remember over 5 years ago as well as the Fresh Mexican Horchata. Ive not had a bad experience here and I cant wait to get the Carne Asada Fries next.

Extremely affordable but you get what you pay for. The best thing was easily their Fresh Mexican Horchata but it apos;s on the sweeter side, very cinnamon heavy, and missing some creaminess. Bean Cheese Burrito was a great size but tasteless. Carne Asada Soft Tacos was substantial, had a lot of toppings, and the meat had a tender texture, but lacked any grilled flavor. The Cheese. Quesadilla portion and tortilla were decent but it was ultimately dry and again, lacked flavor. Generally inoffensive but completely mid.
