Slym Gyms - Derry

I really enjoyed my meal, particularly the BBQ brisket sandwich. Unfortunately, the staff seemed grumpy and lacked customer service skills, which was disappointing since we traveled all the way from Coleraine. It's a shame because this could be a great restaurant if the staff improved their manners.

I went to this restaurant for a drink and ended up staying for dinner. We were warmly greeted, and as soon as we finished our drinks, a table was ready for us to dine. The service was quick, the food was tasty with generous portions. The menu was varied and offered something for every palate. We also enjoyed the beautiful music, especially the excellent singer who was performing there for the first time.

The food and cocktails at this restaurant were excellent, and the prices were very competitive, possibly due to being close to Fitzroy's which offers discounts. However, we were shocked to see that none of the staff were wearing masks. When I asked one of them if she was exempt from wearing a mask, she seemed confused and unaware of the concept. Most customers were wearing masks when entering the restaurant. I observed that tables and chairs were not being sanitized after use, and the cocktail menu left on the table was sticky and clearly not sanitary. If we had noticed these issues earlier, we would not have stayed. Given the ongoing presence of Covid-19, we would have expected all rules to be followed, not just by some. All other restaurants we visited were adhering to safety protocols. Despite the positives, we will not be returning to this restaurant.

Visited after a day of sightseeing. Delicious food and selection on the menu. The margarita cocktails were delicious. Staff were lovely and attentive too

Had dinner here on Saturday night and from first entering we felt so welcome, staff very friendly! Cocktails and food were so good, some of the best cocktails we’ve had! It was an added bonus to have some live music to enjoy also. Would highly...recommend and cannot wait to dine here again!
