The pub was able to accommodate our group of 20 for the Christmas dinner option on Saturday night. The team provided excellent service throughout the evening. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts.
The atmosphere and the food were excellent, I will definitely return if I am in the area again! The restaurant also had fantastic live music and really exceeded expectations for our large group.
We are extremely grateful to The Anchor Inn, its fantastic staff, and especially Serena (our lovely manager contact)! From the moment we walked in, Serena greeted us with a warm welcome. She was very friendly and accommodating to our group of 18. The booking process, organizing, and entering the Anchor Inn was seamless, and any questions we had were quickly answered by Serena. We started off with a Quiz before our starters arrived. Serena coordinated with the kitchen to time the starters perfectly after we finished the Quiz. The main courses followed shortly after, accompanied by live music in our own private area. The tables were decorated with Christmas crackers, a warm fire crackled in the background, and the live music created a wonderful atmosphere. Serena and the entire staff made my last trip of the year to the Peak District one to remember, and I cannot thank them enough! Hopefully, some of us will return in the future. Personally, I look forward to coming back. Owen TTS (The Travel Squad)
I attended with friends and selected from the vegetarian Xmas menu. I was disappointed. Looking at TripAdvisor, I saw that the owner was quick to defend his establishment against poor reviews. Not surprised. Don 't blame him. Further, I had no desire to damage his business. Also, I prefer not to be confrontational at such times .... it has a tendency to sour the whole event. (Perhaps I should reconsider this position. So, I elected to outline my concerns .... carefully and constructively (I felt and extending to about 1000 words...... and message The Anchor using their contact procedure. I received, immediately, an automatic response saying that my enquiry would receive attention, from our admin team within 48 hours. This was one week ago. Since this time, the response has been ..... well, I 'm sure you can guess! Draw your own conclusions. (Perhaps, in the interests of precision, I should say that I didn 't specifically request a reply .....but, surely, Thank you, your concerns have been noted. would be the minimum?
