Dorset - DERBY

It’s ok, wouldn’t return Food drinks: Had dinner here, one staff serving both bar and taking meal orders, long wait for food. $10 garlic bread was 3 pieces of bread slices that thin there was holes in it. Garlic bread came out at same time as other meals. Chicken parmy was tiny, cold and the gravy was as runny as water. Lamb ragu was ok but nothing to rave about. Both very dissapointed with our meals. My 6 year old son and I recently travelled to Derby from Victoria to ride the mtb trails and camp in our van for a week in January, we were well planned and prepared for a great week, however on our 2nd day of riding the trails I foolishly lost my keys to our van while riding. Unsure of where we’d stay until we solved the lost key debacle we came across the Dorset Hotel, luckily they had 1 vacant room available. We ended up staying a few nights, the staff and especially Sammy the hotel manager were amazing to us and helped us out where ever they could, truely hospital and genuine. I have nothing but praises for this establishment, food hits the spot, location , and just a good overall atmosphere, we met some really friendly folks, great town. Long story short the keys were found 5 days later and posted on the local discord app that they were found,. I’ll be back soon for sure. Rooms: All you need Nearby activities: Derby rules

Sam is an absolute legend, and the entire staff are extremely friendly. Great rooms, great bar, great location, great people. Cannot recommend highly enough. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value
