Smackwater Cove - Derby

Love this place!!!Friendly staff, reasonably priced and great weekly specials.

Service very slow although the server was very pleasant. Music too loud to carry on a conversation so we moved outside. There we had smokers to contend with.. The food was passable though pricey. Only game in town so plan wisely.

We stopped for dinner after a day on the water since it was the only place around. Service was very slow although they weren't that busy, just locals. Our server was pleasant enough but visited with the locals while we waited. The music was so loud we moved outside. The river view was amazing. The food was nothing special. Fried chicken dinner was the special. I have never seen such little wings or thighs. I'm not usually a critical diner and will overlook a lot, but I can't overlook a bathroom where you can't flush paper down the toilet but have to put it in the wastebasket. You might look somewhere else for your dining pleasure.

It’s a good place to go if you are staying in Derby. We ate outside bc of Covid, and they have a nice patio. The food is basic bar food but the Grilled Chicken salad was loaded with chicken and was probably the best item our group ordered.

A nice bar and grill with family seating. Decent bar food and friendly owner. If you're out this way, give it a try. Also, a decently stocked small grocery/deli/convenience store right across the street.
