The Markeaton - Derby

This restaurant is pretty average. I originally wanted to order ribs, but they were out of them. I ended up getting a mixed grill and a steak. The mixed grill was a good portion size and tasty. The steak and guinea pigeon looked delicious, but there were only small pieces of meat left on them. The gravy chips were hot and the vegetables were a nice change from the typical pub menu. The gravy came in a boat which was nice because it was thin and free from any chunks.

Great service, we had a beautiful dame called izzy. very reasonable price-performance ratio. good value for money and quality. would be highly recommended if they were over.

The star rating does not accurately represent the food at this restaurant, which was fast and enjoyable. Our experience was tainted by one particularly rude employee. Although not all staff members were like this, it only takes a few negative interactions to leave a lasting impression. We may consider returning in the future, but we are in no rush to do so.

I always enjoy dipping into the brandeton, whether it is a few naughty drinks or a beautiful meal. every time I attend the personal, they are always very malicious and friendly to me and my friends. it was a hard time to work in pubs while everything. but the brandeaton has made such a great job everywhere! they are always so kindly welcomed that they feel instantly at home just wanted to say they keep the great work and I will see you soon

Out for a walk with friends, decided to have a late lunch at a local pub The Markeaton. Menu looked good. Friends ordered chicken and avocado salad, which they said was excellent. I ordered chicken mayonaise lettuce and tomato ciabatta. Ciabatta was served with side...salad no dressing, no mayonaise on a part baked roll, chewy and inedible. Staff apologetic and said would toast/bake the roll. It came back barely warm and uncooked. I was given a dessert in apology. Eaton Mess. OMG worst dessert I have ever been served. Cheap merengue nest broken up with a blob of ice cream, a dollop of cream and frozen fruit plopped on the top! This is priced at Shocking! The staff are lovely amazing, probably embarrassed at having to serve such a bad meal. Maybe mine was a one off. I hope so. Very disappointed.
