The Crawling Crab - Denver

This restaurant was fantastic. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was not too crowded, and it was very family-friendly. The decor was simple but welcoming. The seafood was fresh and flavorful. My only warning is to be careful with spicy dishes because they do not hold back on the heat at all. I loved being able to eat with my hands and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. This was the best crab boil I have had in this area so far.

At 6:30 on a Wednesday night, this small restaurant had 4 other tables occupied. The server was friendly and seated our party of 4 in a booth. The atmosphere was casual and clean, with paper tablecloths typically found in seafood boil restaurants. The napkins were paper and the utensils were plastic. They offered a variety of Pepsi products for $2.99 each in paper cups, as well as hot green tea for $1.99 in a paper cup. Unfortunately, they were out of mussels and scallops. We started with a dozen raw oysters that were served promptly with all the accompaniments. They tasted delicious and had no odor. We then tried the crawfish chowder and seafood gumbo with rice, followed by fried catfish, chicken tenders, sausages, Cajun fries, and curly fries. The soups were very hot, requiring some time to cool down. Although there were a few dry crawfish pieces in the chowder, the flavor of both soups was excellent. The fries were cooked perfectly, and the fish, chicken, and sausage were all cooked to perfection. Overall, a great dining experience.

The food, atmosphere, and service at this restaurant were absolutely outstanding. I can't wait to go again with my girlfriend.

The crawling crab is as close to New Orleans seafood as it gets! Awesome crawfish, and fresh fresh fresh oysters at a great price. Have eaten there many many times and never disappointed! And yes plastic bags and silver wear is how it's traditionally done! Best kept secret in town!

I'm sorry but the food was not good in my opinion at all! The shrimp was overcooked not flavored I'm assuming the crawfish was not fresh because i ate 2 pounds having food poisoning the next day 0/10 recommend!!!!!!!
