Wow! The moment I opened the box of wings, I knew I was in for a treat. The unpretentious exterior hides what must be some of the best wings I've ever had in Colorado. The Mango Habenero wings weren't too spicy, but you could tell the sauce was top-notch and made in-house. The lemon pepper wings were simply amazing—full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I can't wait to come back and try more from the menu because this place exceeded my expectations, and I'm excited to discover what other delights they offer.

This is some of the best soul food I've ever had! The atmosphere feels like you just stepped into a little jazz café in New Orleans. None of the staff are in a hurry, and you will have to wait a minute to have your order taken and made. This is a good thing! You know it's gonna be great. This place will force you to slow down and take a second to just exist, which is good for your spirit. Then, once you're slowed down, you'll actually taste the excellent food and maybe you'll come to a solution for that problem you've been dealing with: the food brings clarity of mind and spirit. This place has soul-warming food and environment. Definitely recommended!

Apocryphally, it was said that Frenchmen would eat Ortolan Bunting with a towel over their head, both to contain the aromas and to hide the shame of the act from from god (it's a whole thing, look it up).When I ate the 12-piece Hot Wings from The Blazing Chicken Shack II, I wish I'd had a towel over my head, because it was so good I was afraid it was an affront to god.I carried my order 1.5 miles from The Blazing Chicken Shack II to my hotel, but when I ate it, it was just as crispy and hot as when it came out of the fryer. The wings were juicy and the hot sauce was flavourful and brought a fine sheen of sweat to my brow.The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming, even to me, a foreigner. It's been 5 years since I've had the pleasure of eating food from The Blazing Chicken Shack II, but I'm still trying to conceive of a reason to return to Denver so I can eat here again.
