Contribuiți la feedbackWe sat in the shade on the patio. It was full but not loud able to have a nice conversation with my friend. The service food were excellent. I would definitely come back again. We were supposed to try the new place on the block, but there was a long wait. Glad we decided to walk down try it out. A cute little gem.Food: 5/5
Below average food, but nice service and location. I ordered the chicken fried steak with pancakes. The chicken fried steak and gravy were nearly cold, the pancakes unremarkable. The country gravy might have been better if hotter, but tasted pretty flavorless and gummy as other reviews mentioned. The chicken fried steak was incredibly chewy, even compared to how CFS usually is. I found that especially surprising given how thin the meat was. I was hoping for some nicer pancakes, but they were small, not that hot, and tasted like generic pancake mix. So, like I said above, the service was good and the decor cute and comfortable, but the food was ultimately disappointing.
Was in the neighborhood so thought I would give this a try. Large outdoor patio that feels like a mix of patio and garden surrounding the small building that still have a pretty good amount of seating. Waited outside for seating for a bit as busy staff came and went by without anyone saying someone would be there to seat me. When approached for seating and seeing that a number of people were behind me for seats, I thought it would be better to be seated at a bar that they had instead of taking up a table for myself. No physical menus are offered, just QR codes to scan for the menu thru the Toast app. I ordered the Bluebird egg Benedict that sounded good. The food came faster then I expected but looking at the plate did disappoint me. The two eggs were surprisingly small with one only covering a third of the English muffin. The eggs were poached pretty good with one being cooked more then the other but since the more done one was the smaller egg, I wasn’t really surprised. The sauce was nice with a few pieces of asparagus in it though a bit bland and I would have liked a bit thicker to maybe stay on the bites or even the potatoes. Those were cooked ok but also came off bland. For the price it was a bit of a letdown as well. Not sure I would make it a destination but if in area might give another try in case this was just an off dish.
I have been here probably 3-4 times total and the food is good, decor is honey, and location is great. However last time I was there we sat inside and there was a table right by the entrance with a man standing giving a whole sermon to a table of people loudly enough where we couldn't hear our own conversation. I'm all for practicing your own beliefs but I don't think it's fair to be subjected to them in a restaurant or to have staff condone this kind of behavior in a space I'm equally obligated to as a customer.I was hoping to make this a place I am a regular but now feel uncomfortable with the idea of dining here. I hope my experience was unusual.
Quite possibly the worst service in Denver. We went for brunch on a Tuesday and it took almost 3 hours for my party of 6 to get in, get food, get (one) drink even though we asked for refills or additional, and the bill. The food and atmosphere/location is not worth any of it. I was really looking forward to trying this place, it was my suggestion. Instead of catching up with friends we were spending our time being repeatedly distracted by the absurdity of how bad it was.
