Cafe De France - Denver

The name drew me in and the bight yellow table cloth fresh flowers had me take a seat. Customers line the outside of this cute Cafe. The booth was comfortable as we waited for our server. The menu was small and easy to handle but falling apart. We ordered coffee and excited to try the heavy cream as well. The coffee had little flavor as well as aroma. They were out of heavy cream already at 10am. The server was friendly, patient and very busy. The service and wait time is slow this morning YUM! Warning Not so far off of the beaten path. Service was great, the environment is charming and I’ll visit again.

First time to the cafe and I appreciated the outdoor seating option, along with observance of social distancing and masking. Service was attentive. House wines were cheaply priced and pretty tasty. Got the seafood crepes which were interesting. I enjoyed the sweetness of the crepe but paired with the champagne sauce it was borderline too sweet, but I was able to remedy this with added salt, pepper and crushed red pepper. Creme brulee was torched to perfection. Could see myself coming back to try other dishes!

The food here is delicious! We did a valentines dinner take out and everyone loved it. Got the gorgonzola steak, tilapia, chicken alfredo, lobster bisque, and it was all wonderful. Highly recommend trying this one!

Tonight at Restaurant Week I tried this place that I 'd never heard of in my neighborhood. I was served one of the best meals of my life! The escargot was delicious! Main entree was the pepper filet mignon. So amazingly delicious! For dessert, the creme brulee. So delicious! Thanks for an awesome gastronomical experience! I 'll be coming back! I think I used 'delicious ' too many times, but everything was wonderful, including the service. Thank you!
