The waitress and the chef were both very friendly at the café. They served a delicious and hot breakfast, and the atmosphere was cozy and filled with patriotic decor. The prices were reasonable, and the food was truly enjoyable.

My partner and I had breakfast at this place, and we were impressed. The waitstaff was attentive and took our order promptly, and our food arrived quickly. It was delicious, and the cookies were exceptional—soft, warm, and perfectly light. We would definitely return if we were in the area and supporting local businesses. There's nothing fancy about this spot, just genuine people.

We go for breakfast three times a week and usually have a good experience. However, today wasn’t great. Our friendly waitress asked how our food was, and I simply replied, "What about the bacon?" She kindly responded, "Is it too thin?" I agreed and added that it was also quite salty. The owner, who was sitting behind me, overheard and felt the need to chime in, claiming that the bacon was the same as always and that we didn't know what we were talking about. I told him that I eat there three days a week, and this wasn't how it usually was. Even his own waitress noticed the difference. The owner became confrontational and aggressive, which was unnecessary. I ended up paying and leaving after only having a little food and waiting 20 minutes for it. We won’t be returning. I recommend visiting Nick’s for a better breakfast experience in Denison.

The owner had a kind greeting for all patrons and was proud to announce that he was in business for over 34 years. the lunch came with 4 huge baked chicken strips, a sufficient aid of crushed carrots and green beans with a side of white gravure. they made a fresh pot decaf coffee that came at the end of the meal. the staff was very friendly and the service was fast for a family business. that was my fifth visit and I will return.

Local crowd mostly, When you want to support a local restaurant. this is a good alternative to chain restaurants.
