Happy House Takeaway - Denbighshire

We visit this restaurant once a week for our favorite Sweet and Sour Chicken balls, fried rice, and a side of chips. The staff is always friendly, the service is quick, and the prices are reasonable. However, tonight when we got our meal home, we were disappointed to find that the portion size of the chicken balls was smaller than usual. Normally we receive 9 balls per meal, so we felt like we were cheated this time.

I can't speak to the overall menu, as I always order the Sweet and Sour Chicken, which is consistently delicious and comes in a huge portion. It's possible they have different chefs working on different days, but I can't say for sure.

My partner and I ordered takeout for two from this restaurant. The pork balls in sweet and sour sauce were delicious as always. However, the vegetable chili was unexpected as it was not spicy until we discovered a hidden chili pepper, leading to a minor explosion of heat in our mouths, followed by gasping, coughing, and a desperate need for water. Despite this, the total cost for both meals and a large portion of boiled rice was only £11.20. The lesson learned is to steer clear of the spicy dishes and you'll have a fine dining experience.

We had one of the worst take aways ever from Happy House. My meal was virtually inedible King Prawn Curry, how can anyone get that so wrong! It was all covered in a dreadful congealed substance struggling to work out what exactly it was.

Picked up a takeaway for the family, and I was really pleased with the service, friendliness of the staff, and the food was pretty good to.
