The Loft Steakhouse - Delta

I’ve passed by this restaurant in Delta several times and always wanted to stop in and see what it was like. I really wish I had done it sooner because it was fantastic! I highly recommend this place, and definitely try the prime rib—it's delicious!

We had a reservation for 7:30 PM, which we soon realized is considered late-night dining in Delta—though that’s not their fault. If they had prime rib, it must have been finished long before we arrived. We opted for the filet instead, thinking it would be a safe choice. We started with the salad bar, which was fine, but the main meal arrived with the typical presentation of protein, starch, and vegetables—arranged on the plate like a nostalgic meal from the 1960s at 10:00, 2:00, and 5:00 o'clock. The vegetables were just a few pieces of steamed carrots, and the mashed potatoes needed a significant amount of butter and cream to taste decent. A bit of seasoning on the vegetables and starch would have improved the meal greatly. The steak was topped with overly cooked onions and mushrooms that lacked any real flavor. However, the steak itself was less overcooked than I had feared, which was a small plus. A little salt and pepper would have been a welcome addition. It seemed that placing a small, inedible flower on the plate was meant to elevate the dining experience to fine dining. We managed to eat about half of our food before leaving. Keep in mind that this place is only open for dinner on Saturday nights.

After a brief wait, our meals arrived, and we unanimously agreed that this was some of the best prime rib we’ve ever had. I’ve eaten at nearly every major steakhouse across the country, and I was surprised by the incredible flavor and tenderness of the meat. The carrots and mashed potatoes were also excellent. The service was outstanding. Our drinks were always topped off, and our waitress checked on us frequently to ensure everything was good. I can't recommend this place highly enough, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit to Delta. The locals are truly lucky to have this gem!

Stopped in for Sunday brunch. The omelettes and hash browns were cooked to perfection! The waitress provided great service and the owner was very friendly. All over a good experience. We will definitely eat there again when we're in Delta!

Very friendly service. Have eaten there three times and the food and friendly atmosphere is worth the trip. Had a double cheese burger that was great.
