We were on hold for 7 minutes before someone picked up, and when she did, she told us that our two separate orders would be included in the same to go box. When asked to please separate them because we are two different people ordering two different meals, she got an attitude and told us to remind her when we come in. When picking up the food, the girl at the counter, who I assume is the same one who picked up the phone originally, had the same attitude. At the end of the transaction, she goes so are you going to tip on your card? I wish the tip went to the girl who came in and personally handed out the coupon cards. My order: 1/4 white meat, potato latke, sweet potato pudding. The chicken was extremely dry outside of the skin, which was actually delicious. The potato latke was great, no complaints. The sweet potato pudding just tastes like applesauce, not sure why they make it like that but oh well. Just know it doesn 't taste like sweet potato.Overall 2/5 stars, won 't be ordering for our office anymore. Highly recommend getting someone else to answer phones and greeting customers/handling their orders. Really a turn off.edit:: the people saying their chicken was juicy they’ve gotta be talking about the skin bc there’s absolutely no way ??
Best chicken in Delray. They don't provide indoor dining but the chicken, potato latkes string beans and matzo ball chicken soup are delicious, almost decadent. I've only had the rotisserie chicken but they also have fried chicken. Make sure you go early or place an early order because they are sold out usually by the afternoon. Tomberg's is a Delray classic. They built a KFC in the same plaza but nothing can compare to their homemade taste. They also don't add salt to the matzo ball chicken soup so you can add salt (or not). If you're thinking about KFC chicken give Tomberg's a chance instead.Parking: Plenty of parking spots.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible but they don't have an automatic door. I'm sure they will accommodate you
This one falls under the don 't judge a book by its cover . Tombergs is the very best chicken (and corresponding sides) in Delray/Boynton/ Boca. Made fresh daily make sure that you call ahead and order the chicken because they will sell out. The latke is out of this world good and the meatloaf.. now I 'm hungry. Also, try the dry wings you 'll need a dozen at least as the flavor is so good, your mouth motor will just get started at around 4. Prices are very reasonable as it 's the quality that will bring you back. It 's not a dine in establishment, although there are two tables you can use if needed. Check it out.
Upon entering the store the very first time, we experienced the most kurt, unfriendly and rushed women dealing with customers. Besides waiting for our order to b taken which is ok)the other employee just spent the entire time chatting with a friend ignoring the line that was forming. The woman had no patience and seemed to dislike customers. I had just moved to Delray Bch and wanted to bring a paper menu home,We had given her our order $40) she tore the menu out of my hand and slapped it down on the counter saying im looking at the holiday menu.I was just holding it! I told her we were new here and I wanted to bring it home. Then hearing we are new to Delray she attempted to give us a free container of coleslaw by literally tearing the bags I just purchased out of my hand while my finger was caught in the bag 's handle! I told her you 're taking my finger with you as she pulled the bags from me. I will not go back there. I 've never been treated like that in my life. She should not be dealing with the public. My husband went back a 2nd time and said she was treating another customer the same rude way. I don 't appreciate being treated that way while spending my money. The chicken was very good but I perfer freshly made, not frozen side dishes. The woman is annoying and I don 't think its appropriate asking for a tip!.
Been eating here for over 25 years, since I was a child, and it’s some of the best rotisserie chicken you can eat! Plus their potato latkes are legendary!
