Contribuiți la feedbackThis is a lovely hotel offering a pleasant dining room with an excellent menu: much of which can be done gluten free. : prices are OK. I had pulled pork nachos which were good, my wife the fish and chips. Both servings were very generous. Alcoholic ginger beer available on tap.
My partner and I decided to take advantage of a beautiful sunny day and take a drive to Deloraine for lunch at the pub. The restaurant’s website depicts a glowing, stylish space full of happy, smiling diners dressed in Country Road and glistening stemware full of frosty beer. What we got was a draughty dismal room and long wait for mostly awful food, although my steak was pretty good. The staff were nice enough and shouted us a drink for waiting but we won’t be back.
2 years ago we wrote a review saying how delicious the food was, but the service was shocking. 2 weeks ago 6 of us went back. 4 out of 6 meals were not nice at all. 2 pizzas were not cooked (one the base was almost raw) , two calamari were chewy. Initially the service was average we had to ask for drink service, but improved, until one of us wanted a coffee. The lady rolled her eyes and huffed about . We wont be going back. Shame it could be beautiful.
They have a wood fired pizza oven but I chose to have the pork belly and I wasn't disappointed, the crackle was just right and the portion size adequate. Prices were reasonable and staff friendly.
We arrived just before lunch ended after a long day travelling and the beautiful lady was very kind to take our order and was super polite given it was nearly closing time! We loved the meals so much we came back on our way back through and stopped again for lunch and was greeted with the same lovely smile and delicious pizzas! Best pizzas in Tassie we reckon! Thank you!
