Pizza Villa - DeKalb

The food was excellent, with the pizza being hot and delicious. However, the ambiance could use some improvement. It felt a bit odd that we had to order the pizza immediately upon entering, especially for a dine-in restaurant. It would be much more comfortable to sit down with a partner or a friend and take some time to discuss our order before deciding.

We started with the Villa Nuggets, and wow, they were fantastic! I ended up munching on too many before my actual dinner arrived, which was my own fault. For my main course, I chose the Nachos El Grande. My wife also tried them and found them tasty, but I thought they were a tad bland—nothing too serious, but I might opt for something different next time. My wife ordered the meatball sandwich, which looked amazing, and she said it tasted just as good. Our daughter had the chicken Alfredo, which she also raved about. Our server was very friendly, although we didn’t catch her name. I left her a generous tip for her outstanding service and the engaging conversation we shared. Though we don’t make it to DeKalb very often, we can always rely on Pizza Villa for a great meal when we do.

The food lacked flavor, and some of the pizzas were reminiscent of cardboard, as if the ingredients had been only partially combined. On a positive note, the server was excellent and did her utmost considering the volume of customers she was handling. Unfortunately, the soda was flat and had an odd taste, and several diners who ordered coffee mentioned it was barely warm. Given that this was a busy Saturday night, I can understand some of the issues, and I'm hoping it was just an off night for the restaurant.

Big place with multiple floors. The staff was friendly and helpful. I found the pizza was good, but very simple.

Excellent food and service!! The pizza is the BEST I have ever had! The cinnamon bites with frosting are out of this world!!
