Bay Lake Retreat Center - Deerwood

Didn't like bunk beds in rooms. Could not even sit upright in my bed without hanging my head down. No lights near beds, dusty, cobwebs, food hit or miss. Second cook was terrible. Everything dried out and burned. Could not eat it half the time. He had no sense of putting a meal together.

I've been a camper, counselor and staff for this camp. It is a beautiful island and always a fun and relaxing time. They do weddings, family reunions, retreats and camps.

If you have children send them but you also should come along. its a great first time family experience. You would want to come back again and again. its never ending!

Great island camp serving all groups with dorm style housing in their lodge and cabins too. The food is made on site with an emphasis on local, healthy food to meet all needs. They also have an emphasis on being available for urban youth who aren't privileged to have these type of camp experiences.
