Kafenio Avondale - Decatur

“Kafenio” has been one of our “go to” spots since we moved into the neighborhood two years ago. The food is consistently delicious, the staff are always kind, helpful, and inviting. Service: Take out Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $10–20

The restaurant is really cute with lots of interesting Greek-inspired decorations. The staff were friendly. The restroom needed TP, but I was there at peak lunch time. The food was okay. I ordered a chicken wrap and the chicken was a little mealy and under-salted, but not bad. I ordered online and appreciated the “NO” feature—it allowed me to select specifically what I didn’t want on my wrap, which was helpful for my diet restrictions. They had a nice variety of drinks. I parked across the street and walked, which I would not advise if you can avoid it—the crosswalk at Arcadia/Sam’s crossing is a little treacherous.

The falafel is absolutely spectacular. We ordered online, showed up 10 minutes early, and our food was already ready to go. I can’t sing high enough praises. #VeganOptions Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I called tonight and it was incredible! recently went vegan and looked for somewhere near to try! her falafel wrap with Greek kartoffels are excellent and service is excellent! defined to be a number one for me

Best breakfast in town from the food to the excellent coffee options as well! Portion sizes are substantial and always quick service.
