This place really went downhill. The guacamole “en la mesa” is no longer made at the table. The portions are smaller. The vegetables are frozen. You pay $24 for half a quesadilla… will not be returning unfortunately.
The steaks are top-notch at this restaurant. The ribeye could possibly be the best steak I have ever had. However, if they offer it with regular or higher quality steakhouse sides than their rice and beans, and the small potatoes are below average compared to other Mexican restaurants. I still give it 5 stars though, because the amazing steak and the creamy poblano soup are to die for, making up for the mediocre rice and beans.
The food here is excellent! The steak with sauce was exceptional and the seafood boat was delicious!
The most underrated restaurant in Detroit in my opinion. This filet mignon with chipotle butter sauce is mind-blowing and a must try. Chef Garza makes everything from scratch. Gourmet, fresh, delicious.
