Ponderosa Steakhouse - Dearborn Heights

The saying: “Everything does not appear as it seems” describes this place. Our plane landed and we were looking for a place to sit and the food was already prepared.... a buffet! This place was first in search. When we arrived, we weren't sure we would get out and eat. The restaurant was very dingy looking outside and inside. We were allowed to watch the buffet before we paid. The food looked good so we decided to stay and eat. It was not crowded and the price was decent for two adult buffets and drinks. We were surprised. The restaurant could use a coat of color and some new furniture. Step in 2018. If we're in the area, we'd definitely eat again.

I mean, it's Ponderosa, and it's really sad that all the ponderosas in Michigan seem to close. That's comfort food of how when I was in the fifth grade, and there was a Ponderosa next to the Catholic school I visited earlier and I would probably go there once a week. Dude is Dirt Cheap to get the salad bar here that has these chicken wings, that it was exactly the same as they were when I was small and the reels are also the same. And it won't be the most amazing food on Earth, but it's the most amazing cheap food on Earth until all-you-can-eat goes. I'm glad I'm here. And hopefully next time I really want to bind the comfort food badly for me, I come back and it will still be open.

Food was pretty good I really love the salad bar of the crab salad is on point! The wings are a little too salty, but still good. They had ribs at the bar when I left, they were really good. Place is clean and super service! I definitely go back!

I liked it. I came in sceptical because of the reviews people gave but it wasn't bad. The food was good the wait staff was fine. There was some food when we came in that looked like it was sitting for awhile at the buffet but they replaced it when they got busy, more people showed up. I got the buffet it was good. But the one thing that was off putting was the ceiling and overall age of the building and stuff inside. The ceiling needs to be replaced it was not pretty and they need to update it. I remember going to ponderosa as a kid not this one) but it looked exactly how it did what like 10+ years ago inside. Same layout and everything. Other than that it was a great time and good food. Yes I would go back and eat there.
