Yesterday we just craved for lahmacun and thanks to one of our friends, we headed to Turkish Village in the Mall. The Mall has a very convenient location just near Wild Wadi and Burj Al Arab. Fortunate for visitors, unfortunate for the Mall, it is not very busy so you can enjoy easy parking and peaceful roaming around. Turkish Village is quite a new place and it’s elegantly designed and very spacious. We ordered our lahmacun and ayran and all of a sudden they served lots of complimentary mezzes and starters from their salad bar. This comes along with hot, fresh pide and we were half full. I liked all of the mezzes. Then came the lahmacun. I can confidently claim that their lahmacun is the best of the city. It’s crispy but still keeps the juice and flavor. It is what the best lahmacun can be. They also serve ayran in a very authentic way which seems so cool. It was a great gesture to directly serve tea just after food. Then we ordered desserts. Their baklava was not fresh which was the only downside of the night. However the pumpkin dessert with tahini sauce was amazing. Service was very polite.
