Liena's Kitchen - DAYLESFORD

We spent a weekend away in Daylesford recently. Walking along the Main Street we were fortunate to come across this little place, dressed in a mixture of Asian themed decor with photos of the owners holiday to China flashing on the monitor behind us. The staff were warm and friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Then came the food, homemade dumplings which exploded with flavour in your mouth. The pork dumplings (3 per serving in a bamboo steamer) were the highlight. We went back the same night it was that good. This time we extended ourselves to include a soy chai latte, delicious! Thankyou to the hospitable hosts, a lovely meal indeed.

Fantastic clearly labelled Vegan options, delicious home made sauces and super friendly staff. We had the vegan dumplings, veggie laksa and the veggie/tofu clay pot.<br/ <br/ Loved it!

Beautiful, affordable vegan options. Had the mock beef and veg clay pot, tofu and veg clay pot, and a serve of veg dumplings. Service was super lovely and helpful.

The homemade dumplings were YUM!!By 6.30 pm on a Saturday night they had run out of the beef dumplings . They were very accomodating by providing s mix of their other homemade dumplings. We also had prawn dumplings, however I don't believe these were homemade.I bought their homemade chilli oil sauce and soy sauce for home in Melbourne. We used it with our dumplings while away, then had to go back and buy more chilli oil sauce!!

Delicious, fresh food and the joy of great gluten free dumplings! the beef dumplings are heaven. Liena totally knows what she's doing with gluten free cooking. Loved the chicken curry too.
