Pokeyaki - Dawsonville

This is the best boba I’ve had since moving to Dawsonville. Unfortunately, they seem to be short-staffed, which leads to longer wait times, and they recently had to update the menu due to not having a cook. The space is also a bit cramped and can be messy, so if you’re very particular about cleanliness or concerned about food contamination, you might want to steer clear.

I'm thrilled to have finally discovered a great ramen spot nearby. It's a welcome change from having to drive all the way down to Buford or even further for a decent bowl of broth. Ordering online was a straightforward process, and my food was still hot when I arrived for pickup at the designated time. I placed an order exceeding $60, and everything was ready in just 20 minutes! That’s impressive considering the quality, pricing, and portion sizes. The beef ramen with spicy miso broth is definitely a highlight, and I also really enjoyed the cucumber salad.

The chicken was tough and had a gritty texture. The ramen lacked sufficient broth and was missing the egg. I paid $31 for two meals, and we ended up tossing half of it away.

Pokeyaki has a variety of Poke bowl options, and all seemed fresh. The Boba may have been good, but they opened late, so we went down a few doors to get Boba somewhere else. If the other place would have had Poke we would have not returned. The place has potential, but management needs to ensure if the publish times they need to honor them.
