Contribuiți la feedbackWe have dined at this restaurant in the past and were pleased with the food. However, our most recent visit, which may be our last, was disappointing. The staff mentioned that they had changed chefs, which could have caused the change in taste. We were the only customers during our visit, and the food was cold upon arrival. The quality of the food was not good and seemed average.
A few months ago, we attended a party at this restaurant and enjoyed the food. So, for my dad's birthday, we decided to have a buffet lunch here. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. We were seated in the downstairs room by ourselves and upon arrival, we noticed that the tables were not properly cleaned. The quality of the food did not meet our previous experience. We ate out of politeness and didn't complain, but the dishes did not look appetizing and seemed to not be freshly cooked. One dish resembled dinuguan, but the staff mentioned it was beef called Revs tapa. Although it tasted good, it lacked presentation. The tinolang chicken soup was the highlight of the meal as it was clearly freshly made, unlike the other dishes. We had our doubts about the rest of the food's freshness.
To make matters worse, only two of our four starters were served, and two of the main courses came out before the other two starters. The timing of the food service was a disaster. Although the food was mostly good, the steaks our guests ordered were not cooked as requested. The management of the restaurant has failed, despite the capability of the kitchen to produce great-tasting meals. I hope that the management can improve the restaurant by stocking a variety of wine options and instructing the kitchen on proper service timing. Starters should be served before main courses, and all dishes should be served together for all customers at the table. I hope to return to the restaurant someday and see positive changes.
So it is our first time to dine here and I am pretty impressed with their place at first. Instagramable, cute but not too cute because it is pleasant not only to the youngsters but also to professionals (adults). Food is delicious, pricey but it is okay. Waiting time was a bit off, took more than 30 mins to served because there was an event in their function room. I am not into sweets so their cakes doesn't appeal that good to me except for their Oreo Cheesecake. Their squid stuffed with chorizo, garlic chicken and crispy tadyang are good to try aside from their best sellers. Overall it was a great experience.
Well for me the experience was poor. Starting from the arrival. I understand now that the restaurant is in the Dona Vicenta Village. What I didn’t understand nor did the taxi driver understood is that the restaurant is located deep within a residential neighborhood. So I got dropped off at the entrance beginning of this village. An area with bunch of restaurants, but walked for some 20 frustrating minutes getting conflicting information as to where the restaurant actually is. When I finally found it and entered the hostess saw me and turned away... she did came back a few minutes later spoke no English and took me downstairs to the noisy part of the restaurant while I actually liked the elegant upper part I entered for my expected nice dinner. The service through out the evening wasn’t much better. The food was Ok How did the place manage to get the only person in Davao that doesn’t speak English placing her as a host is beyond me. Given all the effort in creating good food the service apparently got neglected and it is a shame. As a whole given the above my experience was poor. I hope it will get better. Your mileage may very
