The multi-level ambience is wonderful, but I do wish they would expand their wine selection to enhance the culinary experience. While the small bar is cozy, it lacks variety in both white and red wines.
A beautiful cozy place with good, elegant ambience. The food is quite good, with the price from reasonable to expensive, depending on which you choose. But the service is a little lax, as no one has entertained us and we had to sit on a table.
Go alone and sat down and waited, and waited and waited. Observe several waiters and waiters do not pass a recognition. 25 minutes before I called someone and asked if someone served as I had waited 25 minutes. She said I'm sorry, sir, and a lot went away. So I left. The food looked and smells good as I was.
After a whole afternoon walk, we saw Bistro Rosario and decided to take our night with a nice dinner. The interior is really nice and elegant that we thought the food was expensive. However, we have experienced something different. Your food is good and affordable...and probably our most worthy meal during our trip in Davao. It is a place where we can always come back when we feel like a nice but affordable food paired with a beautiful ambience. But I can't give 5 stars for a non-so-good service. As already mentioned, we came from an afternoon walk with our slippers, shirts and shorts and I had no make-up. 1) The guard looked at us when we opened the door ourselves while we saw how he opened doors for guests who were well dressed (with bodyguard/driver). 2) No one has approached us to ask if we need a table (as the place seems to have reservations). I tried to ask a young girl to go to us, but she didn't seem to have heard me despite about 5 inch distance. Apparently, she's from the bakery, which might be the reason why she's less interested in people in the dining area. 3) Until I finally approached one of the waiters to ask if they have available tables. We were led to the corner, which was a beautiful place, if not for the mosquitoes that refined on us (well what I had with me a mosquito defense lotion). The food we ordered took a while to be served, but we appreciate the free cabbage salad they served. The waiter who served us was okay. I only noticed that they have no workers with only 3 waiters on the ground when we have dined and perhaps the reason why the staff is not too attentive. Overall the food was good and the ambience was nice. Maybe next time we dress better than we showed up here. I had avocado-shake, baked lapulapu and mango-charlotte.
Place is spacious and comfortable with excellent air conditioning. Service is good The food is a bit hit and miss. Some really nice choices and some very average; but overall ok. Quite a few dishes on the menu were not available which was annoying. It...would have been useful to know what dishes are not available when the menus are handed out to avoid disappointment and delays when ordering. One thing to avoid are the fruit juices and shakes as they tend to be over sweetened. I had a green mango shake which was far too sweet; another member had orange juice which was undrinkable as that was sweetened!
