Mithi Resort And - Dauis

Love this place. it is a natural wonder of Panglao. They have the most beautiful infrastructure on the island in my humble opinion and have potentially great amenities. It´s a shame the bar is neglected a little, seems rundown a bit. Besides , I paid more for a glass of wine than the cost of a bottle of the brand they were serving me, which was very disappointing. The bottle costs 400 php and they're charging 455 the glass, served in a water goblet.

Private villa with a very relaxing atmosphere. If you want to go to Bohol to have some serious R&R this is the place to be. This is definitely not the place to be if you want to get drunk and rowdy. The massage I got from the spa however was very disappointing to say the least. It is not worth what I paid for. The Swedish massage was not even close to mid pressure since there was no pressure at all. The best part was the hot towel at the end of the session.

If you want a serene and cozy place, this is the place for you. Not crowded. They have a great view in addition to good food. Services and hospitality are through the roof. The rooms are very clean plus beautiful.

Spent 2 nights here and their grounds and landscaping are well appointed and beautifully designed. The bathroom fixtures need improvement—tissue holder was lose and the WC door latched didn’t work for the deluxe room we got . Service needs improvement—we arrived at our room and the cleaners had only just finished preparing because front desk didn’t coordinate properly ? . Also, their buffet breakfast was supposed to start at 6am so we arrived at 6 only to be told that breakfast starts at 6:30am! Attendants don’t also greet you like how they would at other resorts like Amorita or Hennan in Alona . The resort is 30 minutes away from the city center so you have to hire their 800php each way service or rent a motorbike.

When we arrived at Mithi, we were supposed to get welcoming drinks, but we had to call several times just to get it. We originally booked the standard room for 4 days and 3 nights, but we were very disappointed. The curtains in the room do not fully close so we worried about our safety and privacy. When we also touched the glass windows, it slightly moved and it wasn't firmly attached! The bed also wasn't nice, as it was unusually very damp. The tv didnt't have a variety of channels. And our room shared wifi with the other 3 standards rooms in the area. The wifi router was located on the first floor and was barely reaching our room so we didn't have wifi either. We had to rely on our mobile data, but the reception is also bad inside the room that we have to stay on the veranda just to get good reception. Upon spending a night in the standard room, we decided to bump up to the sea view villa. The sea view villa practically saved our trip. The villa has its own wifi, the tv has various channels (even has netflix and disney+ , room service is also available. The curtains in our room fully closed and the bed is also nice (not damp like the standard room, and the mattress feels nicer overall . There's a jacuzzi to use and the view is gorgeous from our room as well. The only comment I have of the room is that the jacuzzi is old already worn down. The tiles are already chipped and the buttons for the heater and jets are also caved in (we had to use something long just to be able to push it . Also there's no easy and visible indicator if the heater is on or not. Service is a hit or miss in Mithi. When we asked the staff if they can add more water for the tub, I had to call twice and be transferred twice as well. I guess there's no unified number to call (in other resorts, you just had to call the reception , but in Mithi, they have a different number for the maintenance of the room (and they barely pick up . The beach was dirty on our side of the resort. There's an access to the beach near our villa so we used that. The water is kind of black/grey near the shore and you had to go past just to get to the clearer part of it. To end, the standard rooms should also be given attention to by the resort. There's a stark difference between the standard room and the villa (not just the price tag . It's the first time that we were disappointed with the standard room of a famous resort. Most resorts has the basics already pat down with their standard rooms, but Mithi decided to go all out with their other room offerings instead. Food and drinks can also be improved on. As well as the service.
