A Fish Called Avalon - Dauin Pilipinas

As good as it gets. Live in Nevada, visiting Florida and eating out all the time. South Beach is one of our visits and both the hotel and menu looking good for the Avalon. Reserved dinner for four persons and absolutely everything about it for all four of us was perfect. We started with a drink in the bar before dinner, also very nice. At dinner we shared a single scallop appy and all had seafood for dinner, lobster tail for one, stuffed black grouper for two, and macadamia nut crusted yellowtail snapper for one. The place is great, food, service and atmosphere, highly recommend it.

We had a lovely family dinner to celebrate my son's birthday. Everyone enjoyed their entrees with the grouper and macadamia crusted snapper being the best. Desserts were beautifully played and delicious, we tried 4 different desserts (key lime pie, mousse, crème brûlée, and cheesecake and would recommend all of them.

We enjoyed this restaurant immensely. The service was great. The food was amazing! We'll come back whenever we visit Miami. Thank you so much making our honeymoon dinner great!

Novella (sp) was our server and she was excellent. The whole serving team was great! From the octopus appetizer to the lobster tails and the Paella the food was delicious! Can't wait to come back!!!

Restaurant isn't put together until 5pm. Until then it's the lobby of the hotel which was fine. The seafood I had had a very fishy smell and over cooked. Didn't even finish it. The ambiance was great.
