Contribuiți la feedbackI made an enquiry with Emma a few months ago to see if she could accommodate 30 of us in The Orangery for my son's 30th birthday meal. We were liasing for a few months with numbers etc and Emma kindly arranged to do a set menu for all the guests to make things easier on the night was even mindful of the fact that some guests were Vegetarians or Gluten Free and made sure there were those options avaiable to them. The evening was a great success on Saturday. Many guests had never been before and were impressed with the quality of the food and efficiency friendliness of all the staff involved. They couldn't have been more helpful. Thank you again to everybody for such a wonderful night.
The first time eating here was last Saturday for my Grandsons birthday, a party off 8 , we were sitting in the Orangery, which was lovely, bright and airy, our waitress was great, very informative regarding the menu. Our food arrived within 30 mins, all freshly cooked and was absolutely delicious, everyone enjoyed what they had ordered and we all agreed we would eat there again. Today, 2 weeks later, we brought friends here for lunch, and it didn't disappoint . The food once again was amazing , the staff were lovely and friendly, and the smell of the log fire as you walked in was homely and comforting. All in all, a great experience, we will be back, I just wished I lived a bit closer.
We booked the private dining room here for my son's 18th birthday celebration. There were 12 of us, and the service could not have been better. Polite, friendly, efficient staff that were a credit to the restaurant. We had to preorder our starters and main courses, and all our dietary requirements were met with no problems. Communication from The Ship before our booking was excellent. I can thoroughly recommend The Ship at Southfleet and the private dining room for your special occasions. You won't be disappointed!
Wedding reception venue simply wonderful We booked this venue late in the spring, a month or two before the wedding day. We did not expect the organisation and dedication that became obvious as soon as we turned up for the day. This lovely group of ladies delivered a smooth and hiccup less afternoon and evening. The table and room dressing was set up beautifully. We were able to bring a little blue tooth stereo to run our two play lists from and a couple of lights. We had a seated party for 50 dining in the main and over 100 in attendance for the buffet and evening do that went on until 11pm. The starters and main courses were simply delicious, there was not a single complaint and the buffet saw people taking sandwiches, samosa's home with them, as well as the sweet treats. We used the garden and the orangery as our wedding platform, great to see the kids running around out back and so many tables, chairs, and parasols for shade. My only suggestion for improvement, and this is being picky, is perhaps a 2nd AC machine in the orangery as this is such an excellent sun trap. This venue and indeed service was excellent value for money so we left a nice tip, the least we could do in the circumstances. We were able to say thank you to the chef and staff before we left, but it is very hard to convey what a splendid job they did in making our day really stress free and special. I could not recommend this venue enough. Only 1 photo attached due to lack of photographer at the reception just to illustrate the open feel and lay out.
Whilst we were at the Ship in June, I just wanted to write a review to say how pleased we were with the service from the two waitresses. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were very friendly this made our visit worth while! The food was also very good and I would highly recommend this lovely little pub in Southfleet.
