This cafe is easily the worst I’ve ever been to. The choices were extremely limited, with only one cake available. I wanted tea but they didn’t have soya milk, so I declined. However, they brought me a pot of tea anyway, which I ended up accepting. The tea was barely warm because the pot hadn’t been warmed. To make matters worse, the tea cost twice as much as coffee! I ordered two crepes for £3 each or 2 for £5.50. They took 15 minutes to arrive and were cold, thick, and doughy. They got my order wrong, giving me strawberries instead of Nutella and banana. I asked for the cream on the side, but it was already spread inside the pancakes. They offered to remake them, but I couldn’t wait another 15 minutes with my kids. I also ordered one Sprite and received two cans. When I went to pay, they tried to charge me £6 for the crepes, claiming they were two separate orders because they brought them on two plates without me asking. I was shocked by their insistence on charging me more than the menu price. Overall, it was a disappointing and frustrating experience. Going out for cake is usually a special treat for me and my children, but this time I left feeling upset. Avoid this place at all costs!
I cannot find any faults with this place. It is not busy at all, so I had time to read my newspaper and enjoy a coffee. The menu is definitely worth checking out, and I will definitely visit again next time I am in the area. The staff are lovely and not pushy at all. They let you order at your own pace. This place is truly a hidden gem, and I hope it becomes a well-known name in Darlington so more people will visit. It is a great place to relax. Thank you to the staff, I really enjoyed my peaceful time there.
Visited this little gem of a place during a shopping trip into Darlington town centre. We loved the decor, very modern, cosy and quirky all at the same time.Menus had both English and Polish, which was great to see.Plenty of seats inside, probably its only drawback is that from the outside it looks a little dark(although it isn't) and that it isn't immediately obvious that you can get coffees and snacks, rather that just restaurant meals. The staff were really pleasant and friendly, the coffee was delicious and a fantastic price. We thought it a little unusual that there was no choice of cappuccino etc,but the Arabica coffee offered was really lovely,so it didn't bother us at all.The cafe has a good range of snacks, including waffles and pancakes, which although we didn't sample, sounded delicious.Would highly recommend this lovely coffee shop/restaurant and hope it gets lots of business, good luck!
Stopped by for lunch great menu of traditional Polish food but with good offering for kids. I had Borscht with mushroom in a croquet. The waffles and crepes freshly made look great
