Meatball Co. - Darien

This place is also known for its great meatballs (it's in the name, after all!). While they don't offer a meatball sampler for takeout (which includes one of each type of meatball with their various tasty sauces), I can't wait to try it. From what I’ve seen in photos from fellow Yelpers, it seems to be a popular choice. Every pasta dish I’ve tried has been fantastic. I’m a big fan of the gnocchi, which comes in a tasty tomato sauce with mozzarella and basil. The Sunday sauce over rigatoni is also a hit. Overall, I highly recommend this spot for delicious Italian food, and I can't wait to visit in person!

Revisited Meatball Company for the first time in almost two years and was disappointed to see a change in the menu. It would be helpful to list the different kinds of meatball sauces on the menu as you previously did. Also missed the meatball sampler appetizer. Nonetheless, food was fantastic, filling, and flavorful. Great service and family friendly.

However, what truly amazed me was the Rigatoni in Sunday Sauce. So, what is Sunday Sauce, you ask? It consists of beef short ribs, pork shoulder, and homemade sausage slow-cooked in a rich tomato sauce. While "Sunday Sauce" is a catchy name, it doesn’t quite capture its deliciousness. You can even have this delightful dish served over fries—how amazing is that! Ironically, I didn't try the signature meatballs this time, but I plan to save it for my next visit, as I will definitely be back. My wife and I had lunch there for the first time, and we really enjoyed our experience. The ambiance was pleasant, the waitstaff was attentive, and the food was excellent. We tried a variety of meatballs along with a couple of sides, and the Chef Sampler was outstanding! However, one downside was that they only serve wine and soft drinks, with no cocktails available, which was a bit disappointing. We also felt that some of the sides were a bit overpriced—$8.00 for broccoli seemed excessive. Despite these issues, we would definitely recommend the food and service.

That's a spicy meatball! No really. That's what the menu said. But it wasn't so spicy. Actually a pretty tasty meatball. I got the meatball platter. Came with three meatballs (I got pork) and salad and fresh veggies. Delicious. I really enjoyed them all. A cute place and service was serviceable.
