French restaurants are remarkable for their small portions, but we found the portions more than enough. the food was great, the service was impeccable and the wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I could go on and on about how rich and savory was the foie gras or how satisfying the bavette steak was, but it would just take too long. I must mention that the chef and I have the same taste in the music and we were surprised and pleased to hear on theek trucks, susan tedeschi and the allman brothers while we enjoyed a very special meal. So if you are looking for a restaurant for this special occasion or just want to increase something else and more than something, we recommend the restaurant l’ostal.
Dinner celebration of our Anniversary was perfect. The food was prepared with care and was great and our server was very good. The dishes were very tasty and unique.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The menu is always changing and I like that! The service is always spot on, the staff is accommodating and helpful. It does tend to get loud dining inside, but the food makes it worth it ;
Great attention to preparation. Products were very fresh and the pasta was fantastic.
When people talk about organic growth and reputable places, this restaurant definitely checks these boxes. The staff delivers attentive service and environment reminds me of the underrated Philly service industry. FYI Philly has some of the best service industry folks. Staff appears to be not only knowledgeable but trained properly to deliver an experience that should be standard in the restaurant industry given the demanding price point. It has been delightful and satisfying experience dining here. Worth pursuing in the area and not a one and dine establishment. L'Ostal is what the industry needs and consumers should be commanding. Good service, food, and environment.
