I booked the food tour for me and my wife for her birthday. We had high expectations for the tour because we have lived in the Philly area for over 30 years and have never done a tour. We only heard great things. I'm truly happy we did and were able to book with Chef Jacquie. Chef was tremendous. We sampled Roast Pork sandwiches from George's Sandwich Shop...let me tell ya, tremendous! She showed us all the places, stopped outside of places to give the in's and out's of the establishments. The walks were awesome. Walking into those historic establishments with Chef was awesome. It felt like we part of a great big family. Loved it. We did get to sample many other places as well. My son and I took my husband on a food tour of the Italian Market for his birthday, led by Chef Jacquie. We are from Boston and it was my husband's first time in Philadelphia. We were hoping for a memorable experience, and that's exactly what we got! Upon meeting her, we were immediately struck by how friendly and personable she is! She took the time to get to know us, and my husband enjoyed sharing stories of their shared Italian heritage. Chef took us to so many unique and charming little stores, some of which are multigenerational and fixtures in the local community. She seemed to know everyone! Of course, the foods we sampled were truly a delight and a highlight of our trip. We can't recommend her highly enough. Grazie mille, Chef Jacquie!

We've done many food tours in NYC and a handful in Europe. The tour we did with Jacqueline was the best we've ever experienced. She grew up in the neighborhood and knows everyone who owns a shop or restaurant. She took us to the best places to eat and shop. Incredible food. The best. And some of the stores, well, you could only find them at the market if you knew. And she knows. We got a very thorough history of the area, which is one of the reasons we like food tours. I can't recommend StrEATS of Philly higher. In fact, we'd do it again.
