Contribuiți la feedbackI was excited to try this place, but I found it wasn’t to my liking. The wait is long, so if you want to try it I recommend getting there before the 12pm lunch rush start. The owner is certainly interesting, he told me about the health benefits of lemons while I waited. I found the food to be pretty good, though for $20 I expected a bit more finesse. I thought the chicken had too much grill flavor that it overpowered the other good flavors. Note that it’s cash only.
The line was already forming at 1145am. We were the 10th people in line at that time. My husband said it’s really good the first time he had it and it was only $10 last year, but now it’s been increased to $20 plus you get a fresh fruit. He basically fill up the to go box entirely. It got everything from veggies to meat to fruit all in one box. It’s pretty good considering there is no menu to choose from and you eat whatever he cooks. The guy is pretty nice. I can’t believe how long the line still was even when we got our food. He’s only there from like 12-3p or something like that. So if you’re in Philly , try this at least once.
The best food in any city I've been to. Thank you brother!..... God's work!
Much like Seinfeld's Soup Enthusiast, the Octopus Food Truck is an experience to behold. Come ready to wait patiently on busy weekdays with your $20 cash. I work in city 3 days a week and Octopus Food lunch will last me all three days...
Single menu item that's tweaked every day. Amazing grilled chicken and falafel plus whatever he decides to give you. Some of the best food in town. $20. Be prepared to wait 30min+ at peak lunch time and don't offer to pick up for others because he'll only give you 1 per person.
