Malooga Middle Eastern Cuisine

Aight yall. Malooga is better than Al Zaytouna and Kanella. The Hummus Shawarma made me see god. I have ordered this almost weekly at this point because its so ridiculously good. The Shish Taouk Platter (Chicken Kebab) is also legendary. Super tasty salad dressing w fresh veggies, tender chicken, and awesome rice. Dont even get me started on the bread.....jaw dropping. Absolutely jaw dropping.

Good Shish Taouk Platter (Chicken Kebab) but small portion for $23. Also did not come with any sauces. Flatbread was unremarkable.

Highly unreliable doordash ordering. I live 3 minutes from this place and have ordered twice from them. The first time the order said 20 minute pickup time, it ended up becoming 90 minutes. The second time I made the order it said 30 minutes. When I got the notification that the order might be ready I head to the store, one minute away from the store I get a notification that the order has been canceled. The food itself from the one time I got to have was a mix of good and ok. The lamb and hummus are tasty, most items a bit on the pricy side for what you get. If you want to try this place you are better off going in person.

Overall I am neutral about this order. The $30 lamb haneeth dish was average for $30. The lamb was fall of the bone tender and tasty but there was not a ton of meat and the seasoning wasnt anything Id run back to get for the price. It came with a decent portion of their house rice. I was not a fan of the foul (fava bean side dish) at all, especially for the $13 price; I just wasnt a fan of the flavors. The saving grace of this order was the Areka dessert! It was warm and comforting and best way to describe it is basically like a bread pudding made with dates...Id definitely get this again!

The Chicken Mandi is incredible! so flavorful!
