I am Vietnamese and I understand that some Vietnamese places make the food more Americanized and not authentic. I was very disappointed in my “bun thit nuong” or you can call it pork chop with vermicelli noodles. The egg rolls added on were small and hard to chew. The pork chop was disappointing mainly fats. It was chewy. Meat wasn’t flavorful. The sauce for my meal was water down, don’t taste the sauce at all. I ordered summer rolls and it was the size of my finger. Needless to say I ordered $60 worth of food and I was still hungry. My friend ordered shaken beef and the waiter didn’t even know how to put salt and pepper and lime in a small dish for dipping the beef since it had no flavor. It’s a known Vietnamese dip we make. So the Hello Vietnam was more of a Goodbye Vietnam for me.
