I love the atmosphere at Soma cafe, it is so chilled and relaxed. We attended a book fair and it was great. Lots of kids activities...(mine shouldn't have been bored if only he could leave my side *sigh*, oh well)... But most of all it has a good combination of books, from the classic (Alfu Lela holela) to the modern (thankfully didn't see any Dan Brown). The food was also reasonably priced (nyama chomas, not the expensive snacks). I take away because The sitting though wasn't as comfy and there's no signage to get there! Seriously, what's up with that!! Anyways great hangout place for the serious readers when u finally find the place.

Really nice to just sit down, have a beer and do some reading /writing. I'll be visiting every time I pop by in Dar. They have a nice outdoors with sockets under the patio umbrellas where you can relax and do your writing. From there you can be served drinks. They also have a well stocked library for all your reading pleasures. Not to mention that it's an excellent meeting place as well! The ultimate hangout for nerds
