I feel like OpenTable is starting to resemble Yelp. I came across Dock Local in an email that claimed it was a wonderful spot for brunch. However, I highly doubt that it is suitable for brunch. The ambiance is lacking and the food is quite disappointing. We ordered a bowl, a cup of bisque, and shrimp tacos. The shrimp was undercooked and the sauce on the tacos was overpowering. Not only did the food lack in presentation, but the bowl mainly consisted of cavatappi pasta. The lobster in the bisque was too tough to eat. The only decent part of the meal was the chips, which were a bit oily but crunchy. Overall, it was a disappointing dining experience, leaving me hesitant to trust OpenTable's recommendations for restaurants.
The restaurant offers a clean, bright, and friendly casual environment with exceptional seafood. Their lobster rolls, especially the lobster roll, are highly recommended. Dock Local stands out for offering multiple styles of rolls consistently. The lobster rolls surpass those at seafood market/restaurants and upscale establishments in town. Other menu items like lobster grilled cheese, lobster bisque, homemade chips, and crispy shoestrings are also delicious. Customers will not be disappointed with any choice and will save money compared to similar dining options. Additionally, there is currently a 10% off Groupon deal available. Don't miss out on this great dining experience!
Eating is consistent on the point. The staff is close and helpful. This is a fantastic find.
I think OpenTable will be Yelp. I heard from Dock Local in an email to calculate it as a great place for brunch. I can't imagine it as a great place for brunch. There is no atmosphere and the food is quite terrible. We have a bowl, a cup of bisque and shrimp. The shrimps were not made and the sauce on the taco was jarring on the tastes. It didn't even come looking at the table. The bowl was more cavâtappi than anything else. The lobster in the bisque was not chewable. The only redeeming element was the chips... a little greasy, but very crisp. A very sad night at the dining table, and it makes me a double take when I choose a restaurant from OpenTables recommendations.
