The peach, rosemary, chicken salad sounded different and good, but my sandwich had so little chicken salad it was actually a bread sandwich. The chicken chili soup had a good taste but had really big chunks of tomato and jalapeño peppers. The price of this non-sandwich was $9.95 and not worth half the price. This was my first and will be my last visit.
When you embark on your journey around the Square in Dahlonega, if you’re hungry for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or otherwise, look no further than the Picnic café. Just a few steps to the right of the legendary Kilwin’s Ice Cream building is where you will find this establishment. The staff are super friendly, explain in detail the food you’re choosing, and while you wait for it to be prepared, the aromas give your nose the happiest experience you could imagine. Check it out! You will not be disappointed.
Best tomato basil soup I have ever had! If you have never tried chicken salad with peaches, try it. It is also delicious!
What is there not to like with this simple and quaint cafe. The food is great, the atmosphere is great, the staff is great. This is a must visit for everyone. Stay away from the usual fast-food joints and visit the Picnic Cafe. Sit back, relax and enjoy.
This place was adorable. The service was good and the food tasty. They offered some gluten-free options and their bakery selection was amazing. The German chocolate cake was perfection. If you’re up that way it’s a great casual dining experience!
